Finding Victory in the Midst of the Storm

Life can throw some unexpected challenges our way, but it's important to keep our faith in the midst of it all. I know this is easier said than done. And honestly when someone tells me to “keep the faith,” short of throwing an ungodly insult their way; their right. I must keep my faith strong despite the difficulties.

There's no denying that life can be tough sometimes. Unexpected challenges can come our way, and feeling overwhelmed and defeated is easy. But it's important to remember that even amid the storm, victory is still possible.

I recently experienced this firsthand when my daughter Jada had to spend 50 long days in the hospital. For the year 2023, we've spent more time in the hospital than out of it. But despite the difficulties, my faith in God has remained strong, and I've found comfort in the teachings of Jesus.

In Mark 4, Jesus shares several parables that offer us valuable lessons. But what struck me the most were the verses where it says that Jesus explained everything to His disciples in private. This reminds us that sometimes, we may hear teachings, but it's only in our private proximity with Jesus that we can truly understand them in both knowledge and heart. Jesus, you are so gracious to us.

So when we face challenges, dreams that we don't fully understand, or prophetic words that have yet to come to pass, we must remember that Jesus is still at work. And just like when He calmed the storm and said, "Let us go over to the other side," we can trust that if God gave us a word, He will see us through to the other side. (see Mark 4:35-41)

If you're going through a tough season, I want to encourage you to hold on to your faith and trust in the Lord's plan. Remember that He is still working in your life, even if it's difficult to see it at the moment. Victory is possible, and it starts with keeping your faith strong and your eyes fixed on Jesus.

Take some time today to reflect on your challenges and ask God for His guidance and strength to see you through. And if you know someone who could use some encouragement, share this message with them and remind them that victory is possible, even amid the storm.
